I was admitted to UMich for EA 2012.
If I had a 4.0 uw last semester of my junior year, yet my GPA will likely be a 3.2 uw first semester of my senior year, will my admission to UMich be revoked or reviewed?

UMich states: "Declining grades or a significant change in curriculum may also be cause for revoking admission."

Is my 'significant' decline in grades (from all a's to all b's) likely to jeopardize my admission?
I hope I'm not sounding too paranoid although I know I probably am :/ UMich is where I want to be this fall! Thanks for your response.

No They say on there website as long as you don’t get 3c a d or an f your good don’t worry about it and enjoy your senior year

They are very specific about what the terms for rescinding your decision are. Three C’s, one D, or one F in your second semester will mean that they will go into a decision panel about wether or not your decision will be rescinded.

thanks dddsss17 and ClutchEngineer for those perfect responses! I hope this is relief to other seniors like me!

Anyone else have an opinion on the matter?

I had 2 Cs my second semester of last year and never heard anything. I wouldn’t worry about a 3.2. Clutch Engineer’s answer is accurate I’m pretty sure.

It’s funny, I see these threads all the time, just remember that all seniors get lazy and do worse in school, and as long as you’re still pulling mainly Bs you’re fine.

what if i got caught with weed for the first time?

i failed a class senior years last year, first semester after i got in EA, but sent a letter explaining why, and got my grades up second semester and i am here now

when you say 3 c’s does that mean in one quarter only?
how they do it at my school, is that there are four qyarters so 4 report cards with grades. But seniors leave early to start an internship, so they have 2 normal quarters and a longer 3rd quarter to make up the time between 3rd and 4th. so, if i had a c 2nd quarter in one class, and now have a c again in that class for third quarter, and possibly a c+ in another class, does that count? 3 c’s overall, but not all in the same time period/semester. what do you think?

Is this information applicable to transfer students as well?

I don’t know if it applies to transfer students. I assume they would be a little less lenient about that, but it’s still probably quite so.

A 3.2 won’t grab the attention of anyone. You would need to be in the 2.5-2.7 range for any red flags to be raised. The 3 C’s, a D, or an F is the general rule of thumb. Though even if you had a D, as long as everything else was okay then that should be fine anyway. Your admission won’t get revoked unless you really **** the bed in your senior year.
