Admissions Rescinding... Rumor or Truth?

Hello,

I just comitted to going to Georgetown next year. On my letter it said something about how you have to maintain your academic standing. I have been a straight A student throughout my 3 years of HS. I have read a lot about this online and I am wondering if it is just overhyped. My grades are pretty good right now. How low can one’s grades dip in order to get their acceptance revoked? (If I don’t get in trouble and don’t get a D or lower, am I fine? Or is it more strict than this?)

Thanks guys!

College will definitely rescind offers for a drop in grades or disciplinary action. We see it on this forum every year. I don’t think a B or two will kill you but I wouldn’t let it drop more than that. Remember that there are plenty of capable students on the waitlist who would love your spot.
