hopefully it wont happen but how likely/unlikely??

I don't think that happens... I think they might be revoked if you fail to receive your diploma but otherwise I think you're OK.. I hope......

o ok .

elodie, don't think that'll happen:)

but I heard that many schools are now saying the predicted grades will only give you "conditional admission" rather than the previous guaranteed admission. So if there's significant difference between your predicted grades and actual exam grades, they might actually reconsider......:(

I think unless Harvard stated they were giving you conditional admissions in their acceptance package, you're safe, so long as you don't fail your senior year or your grade plummet too much.

I'm unsure about Harvard's policy of granting credit based on IB results. I know they only use perfect 5's on AP's, but as for IB...is it only HL with a 6-7? Or nothing at all?

Anyway, keep in mind that the US admission process is friendlier in terms of an acceptance timeline than the UK, where your IB results are what truly get you in. Is there a forum or place where you can asked current students your question about the IB? Like Livejournal.com?

IB scores are not available until the middle of the summer (July?). Can they rescind that late?

Talk about leaving someone out to dry...

In the States, this is 100% untrue. Conditional acceptances are the norm in European schools and other unis where IB is the basis of admissions. No uni in the States bases admissions off of IB exam scores. They're not even released until July.
