How much harder is it to get into Michigan from out-of-state? How do the ACT/SAT and GPA compare?

I can’t put a quantitative number on it, but you are competing with more applicants for half as many spots.

It’s not as difficult as Woody is making it sound, for he’s not taking into account the fact that yield is much lower OOS because of the vast price difference and people viewing UM as a safety school. However, I would assume that OOS you should be on the higher end (3.9 UW, 32 ACT) rather than the lower end (3.7 UW, 29 ACT) of the incoming class to consider yourself highly competitive.

I’m not lying though, you have half as many spots to fill as an OOS applicant than an IS one.
