Admissions Status Online?

I finally saw one. One person posted on FB about a REJECTION. Okay, I’m starting to really believe that they mailed out rejections first.

AHHHH!!! I’M SCAREd!!!

so what are all our stats anyway?
like sat/gpa?

I’d like to know the basic stats, like GPA and test scores, of those denied admission. So I can get an idea of where I stand

act 29
sat 1920
3.7 gpa, 6 ap classes

@naomikt

I have a 3.2 GPA (super upward trend)
1910 SAT
mediocre EC’s
My essay was alright I think, but I suck at writing.

edit only 1 AP class, AP Comp Sci

@parado21- where do you go to school?! I’ve heard of one from Emerald Ridge and one from Rogers. & the rejections definitely ARE out because one kid posted a picture of his rejection letter on facebook just to prove to everybody that he wasn’t lying.

3.23 UW GPA (4 AP, 11 honors classes thru jr. year)
31 ACT
Pretty good EC’s
Really good essays
Out of State

I have:
Instate

3.8 uw
25 ACT
3 ec
And I took full advantage of my essays. I made sure to follow the prompt precisely, so hopefully they pull me through! I’m a bit worried though… I hate waiting haha

stats:

SAT: 1790:/

GPA: 3.93

Essays: I was told they were good? But I really have no way of knowing. I don’t think that I’m a very good writer though.

My stats are:

Two Part-Time jobs
Cross Country
100+ Comm Serv. hours
-other clubs, etc.
In state

I spent three months writing my essay with my teacher so I definitely think the essay was good enough. I think it was my GPA that killed me. If I had at least a 3.6+ I probably could have gotten in. I’m going to appeal. I already have a recommendation from two teachers, one who worked as an administrator at UW for 10 years. I wrote my appeal explaining my family’s financial circumstances, life changing reasons, etc. UW is really my best bet for in-state. I really hope I get in through this appeal…and if not…well, here I come Penn State! lol. For the other people rejected, don’t feel too bad; you guys gave it a shot. Appeal if you want, you never know if you might get in.

Nah I didn’t put the amount of hours spent on each activity.

@cmbaker3, thanks but I’m unsure about getting Foster Direct Admit, though haha hopefully I get that.

I have a 2220/4.0 UW, but I applied honors, so actually that’s just a little above the average.

Decent ECs
Good (imo) essays

@Icandividebyzero, I think you definitely get in. I know a guy who had a 3.5 gpa, 1800 SAT who got into Foster.

@grigg
aww, it looks to me like you were probably borderline. I really hope your appeal is successful!!

Out of state:
Unweighted GPA: 3.6 (weighted is something like a 3.95)
ACT: 32
6 APs in the last two years, 4 honors classes as an upperclassman
ECs:Executive Producer of INfocus TV station, Captain of the water polo team, swim team, Unity Club, Mock Trial, Theater, Make a Wish Foundation, swim coach, triathlons.
Part time job as secretary/ in fitness training to be an instructor at local gym)
