ADMISSIONS Thread Class of 2015!

As letters of acceptance come trickling out, I thought it would be nice to see who got accepted to alleviate people’s anxieties who live OOS and have to wait longer for their letters. So as you get your letters, post your stats here for others to see

Sorry this isn’t a stats post, but I was wondering when OOS usually find out? I live in Northern California, so not TOO far away from Seattle haha.

@ferdinand32 Letters should be sent out in various batches starting tomorrow until the end of March. Because you live closer to Seattle, I would assume you would receive your letter quicker than most OOS

@HomeInNevada‌ starting tomorrow? I live near seattle, so does that mean I could potentially get one tomorrow?

@HomeInNevada‌ awesome, thanks!

@HomeInNevada‌ Wait, doesn’t the website specify that the letters will be mailed starting March 15?

So you guys think they are sending out letters tomorrow? They said they would be sent out from the 15th to the 31st, but the 15th is a Sunday so I guess they may send them out tomorrow, but it could also be Monday the 16th. I’m so excited. Where is everybody from?

Just because the 15th is a sunday doesn’t mean they can’t put them in the mailbox… Haha

Something being put in a mailbox on Sunday is essentially the same thing as being mailed on Monday, but thank you for your worthwhile comment.

Touchy

No, not touchy, just not big on having my time wasted. Thanks again for your insight. If only admissions officers could see your brilliant mind at work. Did you let them know that things can be put in a mailbox on Sundays?

@AverageJoe206 I believe @Loganmr97 intended to say touché. This isn’t intended to be negative. The assumption is that they will either start sending them out the 13th or on the 16th. Either way they will be sent out in batches, and some people will get accepted before others. So if any Seattle or ISS get letters before OOS some stats would be nice to know

I’m not sure about that. The e and the y keys are pretty far apart, but wishful thinking. As for the letters, I live in Seattle so I’ll be sure to let you when when I hear back. Is UW your top choice?

@AverageJoe206‌ don’t get so offended it wasn’t even meant to be rude or aimed toward you. If you didn’t want your time wasted you could’ve decided to not respond to it…? Sorry
Thanks @HomeInNevada‌ it was in no way intended to be offensive towards anyone, just noticed that many people are saying that they can’t be mailed out on the 15th when really they can be.

Eeeeeee… I’m so anxious about this

@cwordsworth12‌ same. What degree do you intend to go into?

@loganmr97 I applied for psych and french… I’m not sure how competitive those programs are supposed to be. Wby?

@uwhusky1997 it all depends on when they send the letters but because you live in Seattle, you are one of the lucky ones and will receive a letter before the rest of us. Let me know how it goes!

@cwordsworth12‌ computer science. I’m not sure how competitive psych is but UW is ranked well for the department.

@loganmr97 Sounds difficult. Good luck. Are you an in-state student?
