Thank you for your application to UC Riverside. Our campus received thousands of freshman applications for the upcoming Fall term. We carefully reviewed each application using a combination of academic and supplemental criteria.

Although all applicants were talented and able students, we could not consider those who did not satisfy the University of California eligibility requirements and meet the UC Riverside selection criteria according to the principles of Comprehensive Review as determined by the UC Riverside faculty. Consequently, we regret that we cannot admit you for the Fall term.

Please visit the Admission section of MyUCR for UC Riversides admission requirements.

If you feel this decision was made in error or you have compelling new information that we should consider in determining your eligibility, you may appeal this decision. Visit the Appeal Process Page for more information.

You have made an excellent decision to pursue a university education. We appreciate your interest in UC Riverside and encourage you to establish your eligibility to UC Riverside for a later term as a transfer student. We look forward to receiving an application from you in the near future.

I don't quite understand this....are they saying i am not accepted because i didn't meet the UC eligiblity or that i was just simply not good enough?

no clue man, you should have been accepted. i know a lot of people with 2.8's that got in with a lesser sat score than yours.

did this year's GPA requirement raise to 3.0?

Sympathy, this is an electronic form letter. Thanks so much for sharing it, but don't read more into it than what the letter simply is.

Where else did you apply, because UCR is just a momentary bump in the road for you. Your journey is far from over.

!!! STAY HOPEFUL and STRONG !!!

I think if I were you I'd call and ask. Maybe they recalculated your GPA and you were below the 2.8 minimum? It might be worth asking about. Good luck!

3.0 gpa for minimum UC GPA begins with 2006-07.

r u guys freshman applicants or transfer applicants?
