Ok so I called admissions today because a friend of mine heard back tuesday and I still have not so I wanted to know when they thought I would get my decision back. I talked to a guy who said something along the lines of, "We're still figuring things out for you. Please call back friday afternoon"....

Ok so is this good or bad? If I'm not in then I want to know so that I can get on the housing waitlist at my safety school that I got into last week. Does this mean I'm in and they just need to put my package together? Does it mean they need more time deciding? (Deadline they said is thursday but they want me to call back friday)

Please tell me what you think guys. I'd call back but I don't want to seem pushy.

Its probably hard to say, as this guy is most likely just a cog in the machine, and doesn’t know any real information

That said, I’d say its a good thing. The phrase “figuring things out for you” makes me think they’re just finishing up your financial aid stuff.

well i didn’t apply for it, but im thinking its good too. I mean if I wasn’t in they wouldn’t be waiting this long to tell me, unless of course they haven’t had time to meet and finish up reviewing apps. Anyone else care to speculate?

I’m a freshman transferring for the spring and in state so if I get money it would have been because of a huge error on their part haha (need better grades to get money).. I mean it is a huge baseball school and I did write an essay about baseball (and played varsity 3 years, with all conference honors), but I doubt they are checking with the coach to see if I’m a recruit..

I just can’t think of why they are taking so long with my app. There are reasons why it could be good and reasons why it could be bad. I really want to get in, my essay exemplifies that as much as possible
