I applied to Binghamton in October -___- and i am starting to get worried about me being accpeted, so far i was accepted into Fordham, Stony Brook, SUNY Albany, some people tell me that because i was accepted to Fordham and Stony brook that i am getting accepted into binghamton, plus not to mention the fact that i am hispanic, i just wanna know other people's opinions

Being hispanic probably doesn’t help you all that much, and Fordham and Stonybrook are both loads easier to get into than Binghamton. My school uses Naviance to tell us the GPAs of kids from our school who went to certain colleges. Binghamton’s is 99 weighted, Fordham’s is a 93 weighted. Binghamton is hard to get into, but if you have the right grades and ecs you should be fine. Did you get denied anywhere?

i checked the naviance thing and for binghamton it says 94 and for fordham it says 93, no i didnt get denied anywhere

my school’s is much higher then, it varies within each high school.

My son was waitlisted at Fordham but, accepted at Bing. 87 GPA. Fordham has ties to his HS, too. Also rejected at UMass Amherst
Go figure

@LawnGuylandDad thats kinda weird that they would waitlist him, oh well saves you the cash
@sophiesrsly yeah i think it does depend on the school, im guessing you go to a smart school

@LawnGuylandDad What was your son’s SAT or ACT grade? I have a similar GPA and am getting very nervous about my chances.

1440 cr & m. 31 act

Oh, well that certainly explains quite a lot. That doesn’t help my nervousness one bit, however. I scored a 1250 (didn’t take ACT) with an 87 or 88 (I forget how it rounded) GPA… oh well, I’ll just wait and hope for the best.

N41,
Yeah well, we were sweatin’ too last year. Especially after being outright rejected by UMass.Remains perplexing but, Bing is a superior school IMO.
