Admissions

I just spoke with the counselors at the AFA. They said regular admissions were approved today and congressman were being notified.

Makes sense with the other two posts about admissions and appointments on here. Home stretch people!

So since I have not gotten anything in the mail safe to assume a no go?

I haven't gotten mail, the mail won't come for awhile. Keep your chin up man. I got the call.

Got the call? From who? Congressman?

Same here, got the call from the Congressman. No mail yet.

Ya, my congressman called. I had left a message yesterday, so it was a returned call and she let me know then as well. They were all e-mailed updates for us.

I got a presidential nomination. I don't think the President will call, but for now I'm going to camp outside of my house next to the mailbox. I'm still waiting to hear from them before I give an answer to two other academies.

So did all your online status change as "appointed"?

Everyone that I know said it changed a few days after they received the package in the mail.

We called our congressman's office Tuesday morning and found out that no appointment is coming. I had to tell my son last night. We are all pretty bummed out, but trying to look at all the other opportunities. I'm hoping he gets an offer to go to prep school or falcon foundation school. Looks like he'll just have to try again next year.

Nickmom... I know how terriable that feeling is, the feeling that all your dreams, hard work, determination and tears are all going to nothing...

Just know that you son is not alone in this entire process and that i offer him my deepest regrets. I know he is a million times qualified.
