Admissions

Hello everyone!

I’m getting ready for the fall 2016 applications to the following UCs : Berkeley, LA & Irvine. To start off, is anyone here familiar with the French system of education? Because I am in the 11th Grade ES (Economics & Sciences) and therefore I will be applying as an international student. Getting to the point, I was wondering if the fact that I’ve been studying economics, political sciences and sociology (think of those as “AP” classes) since the 10th Grande could be an advantage for me since I’m going to apply for an economic major (or any major related to that).

Thank you in advance and best Regards!

Advantages for AP-like classes would be a increase in your class rigor and a boost to your weighted GPA for admissions. You could also get some course credit at UCB for these classes, but they will not make you a stand out as an applicant.
