I applied to BYU by the priority deadline and the email said I should hear back in a month. Its been a little over a month and I haven’t heard anything. I am also a non member truly interested in the church and I am kinda nervous about it. How is living by the honor code?
- I know some people in your boat who submitted by the priority deadline. Did you apply to BYU I too? Have you heard back from them?
- Living by the honor code is great if you're LDS. I can't speak to how it is at BYU though. I've heard it is hard if you're non-Mormon and would have to make some major life changes to live the honor code. However, if you're interested in the church it would probably be much easier.
As an LDS member it is not difficult to follow the honor code, and Im pretty laid back about people who choose to dont follow it and very open mind, there are some people who follow the honor code strictly.
But as long as you dont have premarital sex, no drinking, no smoking, no drugs you will be ok.
I applied to both BYU and BYU-i. I talked to an admissions person and they said I’d hear in February and that priority just made my application look better.
