<p>Okay, well I have one congressional nomination mostly filled out...not mailed yet. But also a question.</p>
<p>I have a 3.4 GPA but im taking IB classes.
I also do cross country, track, and glider flying.</p>
<p>Some people seem to think Im a lost cause for admissions...
I don't think so but Im not sure...</p>
<p>what are your test scores and what state do u live in?</p>
<p>Just got my ACT back...though its mostly just practice..it wasn't on a national test day..

27-Math
30- Reading
27-Science
30 Composite...</p>

<p>I say that you have a fair chance depending on how competitive CO is. To be honest my GPA is the same as yours, I took all honors and ap classes, and your ACT looks good. Make sure your actitives are diverse, and also try to go for an interview. It seemed to me that Kings Point likes to put a face and personality with an application. Your not a lost cause.....I got into Kings Point, West Point, and the Naval Academy Foundation program with stats very similar to yours (i'm, not trying to brag, just let you know that their is hope). I will say that I believe that diverse in out of school actitives and a great interview are the key to really setting your application apart. GOOD LUCK, feel free to ask any questions you have.</p>
<p>Gosh! Who are 'some people" thinking you're a lost cause? I have one thing to say about that! Ignore those nay-sayers! You've got a great chance!! If you want it bad enough, you'll show them what you're made of! Go for it! Do your research about this academy. It offers some great things as the others here will tell you. For instance "Sea Year". Don't ever say "I'm not sure" about anything again kid. You can do this! Your hard work shows it. Pep talk aside, if you want to be a leader, you'll do everything you can to get in. If you have questions, ask here because these guys/gals have been through it all. Although the admissions process can be a difficult one, find some help to get you through. Go to the USMMA parents web site and look for the CO web page link. There are people from your state who can help you. If you have trouble finding the website, just post for help here and I'll provide you the link.

<p>yeah i agree with jamzmom that you have a great chance. the two things i would worry about is your DODMERB physical and getting your congressional nomination.</p>

After you send it in, be sure to update them on any accomplishment no matter how small. You can update your file to them at any time. Flynavy is right. Worry about your DODMERB and getting it done early in case a problem should arise. Be safe everyone!</p>

Im in NHS and Ive done community service like tutoring (does freshman year count?)and other small volunteer things. </p>
<p>How do things like girls state count here?I also got this rotary youth leadership award...can these go under the leadership section?</p>

It was critical reading and writing that i got 730 on. I kept on thinking critical reading and reading...but that's the same thing..Yes, I am sort of brain dead..school just got out today..the latest it's gotten out for 3 years. We usually get out about May 25.</p>

<p>Yeah, baseball season is finally over as of yesterday. I am actually taking a look now at the recommended workout. Called the trainer I worked with over the winter for baseball and I'm starting with him monday. Will probably combine workouts with the training group and the recommended workout. Want to be a stud!</p>
