Hey!
I'm interested in BME at JHU. Due to scheduling, I will not be allowed to take AP Biology as a senior, but I did take a regular class during my freshman year. I was wondering if I self-studied for the SAT II in Biology and scored ~750, will that do for the lack of AP Bio on my schedule?
Also, I was wondering if a high SAT II score makes up for a really low school grade. (To me exact, will a 750 on the chem SAT II make up for a C+ on Ap Biology? [3 on the AP test])
Thanks for the help,
Ana G.

As I have said many, many times before - we look at everything. We look at the courses you have taken, your grades, your test scores, your academic trends, etc. It is a comprehensive evaluation that takes into all factors. Our review process does not weigh one factor against another, but looks at the complete picture of an applicant and their academic and extracurricular record. With all this stated, there is no way I can actually answer your question.

There is no set rules for admissions to JHU as it relates to what courses you must take, what scores you must get, etc. Make your academic decisions, perform to the best of your ability, and then put together the best application you can. We will then evaluate those decisions, your performance, and everything else that goes into your application.
