AdmissionsDaniel returns!

When should I send these updates? Is it the sooner the better? Or will it still go into consideration even though I send them at late April or early May?

Send them by the end of April.

Despite what Hopkins' rep has been in the past, I seriously think any school that does as much as Hopkins is doing to make their students happy is seriously worth it. I guess I will know more after my visit on Monday/Tuesday!

To all who've visited, go to JHU, and AdmissionsDaniel:
I'll be visiting next Thursday, the 13th, which isn't an open house day. What do you recommend I see? Are there any tours that are good? Any events? Any presentation? Classes?
Thanks. Look forward to seeing JHU finally!

On the 13th:
Tours at 10am and 1pm
Information Sessions at 11:15am and 2:15pm
Class Visits: there is a book at the front desk you can look through of courses you can sit in on
Lunch: Eat in Levering hall

Are these tours and info sessions geared toward prospective applicants or admitted students?

Thanks a lot you guys, that did help a lot.

admissionsdaniel, I called the admissions office few days ago, and the staff lady told me that the regional representatives are the ones who actually re-review my stuff, and has the control, if they decide to admit waitlistees. If I send updates to JHU, such as letters and recommendations, then how would regional representatives read it? Are the letters scanned to the representatives, or do the representatives actually work at JHU?

admissionsdaniel, I also read in one of your replies in the JHU blog that 10-25 people were accepted 3 straight years. Do you mean 10-25 people each year or that many in total of 3 years?

Regional representatives is another name for the Admissions counselors at Hopkins (like myself). Each one of my colleagues has a specific region they are responsible for - for instance I read and evaluate all New England applicants and therefore communicate mostly with New England students. We all work in Baltimore.

Second question, each year.

AdmissionsDaniel, you missed my questions. You just happen to be online right now. That's pretty cool.
