I know I know!!!
I am in a really weird situation and was worried that I wouldn't be accepted anywhere

BTW call me a sore looser, but based on my achievements in computer science, I know I would make a perfect candidate for MIT \ Caltech \ HMC \ Stanford
Looks like the admission process is not so hollistic after all! (my sat scores were low as I immigrated to the US from India 2 months into second semester of junior year, and I have only 7 APs (no APs in India obviously!))
But you know, they can go suck eggs for all I care! They missed taking me in - I did not miss my chance of admission! :)

Oh! and I'm choosing between
University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UICX)
UCSD
Any suggestions would be really helpful.

Thanks and best of luck to everyone - don't let "The Man" get you down! lol

look at my stats profile. all I'll say is that my SAT = 800CR 600M 710M, my sat IIs were 770 lit 770 ush and 710 french, my AP tests were one 5 and two 4s, I'm a national merit commended scholar, and my rank is 6/210.

female+white+not interested in math or science+upper-middle-class applying for lots of financial aid+high achiever but not an overachiever = SCREWED. I thought it would be enough to just be myself and do things that I actually like to do instead of trying to be like everyone else, but I guess not. I refused to play the game and this is where it got me. I completed everything early, didn't procrastinate and arranged everything by myself and was optimistic, and this is what I get. Was it so unreasonable for me to think that I could actually get in to these schools? I guess so. It didn't help that one of my friends from school who is male and had basically the same exact stats as me also applied to reed and carleton (and got in). I do like puget sound and uw though. I just wish I'd gotten outright rejections so that I'd have less options and wouldn't have to wade through red tape, instead of 3 half-assed acceptances that are basically just honorable mention letters. And then if I get in off the waitlist I'll have to visit these places and my family doesn't have the time or the money really. I'm just really freaking irritated that I even got my hopes up.
