Does this mean I was admitted into Civil Engineering?

It's been so long that I didn't even remember that I even had an alternate choice but I did apply to major in bioengineering.

It means you were rejected for bio but then admitted for civil.

Did you pick an alternate major on your app?

So weird that my stats were high and I was just deferred from business and not even give an alternate admittance :(

Yes, you were admitted to your alternate choice - Civil Engineering, not Bioengineering.

@soccerdude, you were deferred until regular. Sounds like you are being considered for business, and you will be admitted to Business or your Alternate, but not denied or waitlisted.

If deferred from business and not given alternate at this time, it means you are still being considered for business and will receive final decison in Feb, Business defers a lot of applicants (a higher percentager than other college) in the early action round and the fact that you did not get alternate choice or a rejection (which many do during the early round) should be taken as a positive.

As to engineering, anyone who applies for bioengineering is told to put a second engineering choice on app – bio is the hardest to get into and many that applied to it will end up with their alternate engineering choice.

Guys, I have been deferred and I enrolled as an Biology Undeclared major, what do you think this means? any help? :(
