I got in last Sunday. It might of been earlier because i didn’t check it during the week. Glad i did not wait long!! I got into the college of fine arts as a music major.

Accepted OOS to McCombs School of Business sometime in the past 2-3 days. Also applied BHP, not sure about status of that yet.

-GPA 3.9 UW

-SAT 2240, ACT 34
-AP: Chem 3, US History 4, World History 4, Calc BC 5

Did this entire application last minute because it’s pretty much my last backup

Does anyone have any experience with or knowledge of how successful the appeals process has been in the past?? Thank you.

D checked her status today, accepted. Got her second choice of school. Non-auto admit, in-state.

Accepted into McCombs yesterday

Instate
Weighted GPA: 3.8

Non ranking school

Absolutely dreadful essays!

Still in quite a shock that I not only go it, but got McCombs! I only put it down just to see how far I could reach, so seeing I got my first choice was amazing!

Anotherlamemom: Are you serious??? He was denied with those stats??? No way! Is he going to appeal?? I hope so…

Can anyone who got into pre-pharmacy tell me their stats. I didn’t apply to pre-pharmacy because at the time I applied I wanted to do nursing, but being in my Pharmacy Tech class this school year really got me interested in pharmacy, but I had already applied with different majors listed. But I’m hoping I can transfer into pre-pharmacy once I get to Orientation or once school starts in the fall. Also, I did not get accepted to nursing, but I got my second choice Biology in College of Natural Sciences, so I was wondering do you think it will be easier to transfer into pre-pharmacy since I’m already in the college of Natural Sciences?

I’m doing pre-pharmacy, but my major is Biology. I think you can choose any science major (such as biology or chemistry) for pre-pharmacy as long as you complete the required classes.

The required classes are
[University of Texas - College of Pharmacy - Pharm. D. Curriculum](http://www.utexas.edu/pharmacy/admissions/curriculum.html)

Correct me if I’m wrong though… Because that’s what I’m doing LOL.

Thanks! But do you have to have the pre-pharmacy tag attached to your major to be considered a pre-pharmacy major and be able to apply to Pharmacy school after your prerequisites?

I’m amazed I got in, but I am really excited.

OOS
SAT: 1950 (640 math, 690 Writing, 620 CR)
GPA: 3.8
Run cross country and track
participate in a lot of activities
film director (I had links to my films in my resume, about a dozen)

My major is Radio-TV-Film

I think what helped me was that I was very balanced. I had pretty good grades (though not as good as some of you) but I’ve consistently done sports and I’m a solid film director. And I had awesome essays.

You don’t have to be Pre pharm to apply. There’s no official “Pre Pharmacy” track, you just get some advising.

I got accepted with the following statistics:

GPA - 3.5 (Around the 27th percentile, small non-competitive private high school)
SAT - 1820
0 Volunteer Hours
0 Extra Curricular Activities
0 Leadership positions, or awards
No AP or honors courses at any point during high school

Was accepted to Physics CNS, which was my first choice major.

I’m white, and from Austin.

Still waiting for an answer. I applied OOS transfer from a CC with a 3.46 in Nuclear Engineering Tech. I bet ill be deferred but it was worth a shot since I would love to go. The best things I would have going for me is my essays and resume. (Since I work at a nuclear power plant) I’m just waiting for that status to change so I don’t have to keep logging in!

(Was accepted to UCONN and OSU for both of their chemical engineering programs)

ACCEPTED!
Just got my decision, hmmm, it’s time to apply for housing! :)

Congrats everyone!

BTW, I’m a domestic student studying abroad, so no GPA. No AP.
Top 5%, good grades (got a scholarship), below 2000 SATs, plenty of ECs (but focused).
Asian-American.

you must have some good essays then Cisterian…

Just got CAPPED—trying to decide if UTSA is a fit or Baylor.

My son got accepted to Cockrell for biomedical engineering! Instate with a 2160.
So happy and relieved.

Congrats to everyone!

S has been accepted as well! OOS
Stats include:
GPA - 3.6
ACT - 33
200+ volunteer hours, music and film ECs, several film festival awards, intern at local tv station
10+ AP and honors classes during high school

I don’t think S included links to his work, thus assume admissions had no idea what he’s done. Chapman and USC both required supplemental essays and examples of work. That being said, he was accepted as “undeclared” college of liberal arts so excited about that!

@filmdirector… congrats!

Well, it appears D, also OOS, has been accepted too. (She applied to the film school, also without portfolio submissions.) Only thing we have so far, though is an email inviting her to accepted students day in March. Briefly, D’s stats are:
GPA – 3.9
SAT – 2210
longtime member of a traveling Shakespeare troupe, lots of film classes
Loads of AP’s and honors
white (Though I liked “pan-European”)
from Virginia
