and - both parents went to penn for undergrad, dad has Ph.D and Masters from penn, and my dad teaches economics as the penn’s SAS and finance at Wharton

will this connection compensate for my below average SAT scores? what are my chances? ill answer more questions if you want to know more

Well if your dad teaches at Penn, I definitely think you'll get in.
Even without that, you'd probably have a good shot, what with the legacy... Your grades are obviously great (no rank?), ECs solid, SATs eh... Possibly defer because of the SATs, but I definitely think with the fact that your dad teaches at Penn you'll get in.

didn't you have another thread with the same question? or was that someone else?

But the strong connection with Penn will def get you in. Definately Admit.

Yup, I agree. Definately Admit!
That's pretty sweet though; your dad teaches at Wharton!

I'd say that because you are applying early, Penn will give you a break with your SAT scores and take you, because it looks like that the SAT scores are the only thing that would give you trouble.

yeah, no class rank

pretty much no chance. sat's are low, EC's are decent, I HOPE YOU HAVE A BEASTLY essay

I think you have a very solid chance. You'll probably get deferred at worst.

I would be very much surprised if you were not admitted considering your alumni connection and current faculty connections.

any other thoughts

do you need any more thoughts? most, if not all, the people reckons you have a very solid chance... ur in a good position...

ya why do you keep asking? you are defenitely getting in
