<p>Geneseo is only going to get more and more competitive in the years to come because of increasing costs and tution for college in general. My friend is going to BC and he is going to pay upwards of $50,000 a year (tution, books, room, board, travel to and from school, etc.). Average families just can't come up with that money even with aid, scholarships, and whatever else.</p>
<p>I just got my tution bill for the first semester at Geneseo: $7,000</p>

<p>According to the admissions website there were 3720 acceptances for 11,000 applicants. That indicates a 33.8 % acceptance. Still pretty impressive.</p>
