Admit rate = 14.2%

Ditto. Gaaaah.

if acceptance rate is down that much, what do you guys think about deferral (ED) admit rate??

Please just a little hope that maybe that stayed the same…OR WENT UP!!! (only in an ideal make-believe world, I know.)

Wow, 14.2 (this yr’s rate) is 17% less than 17.1 (last yr’s), while apps increased by . . . 17%; that is frickin incredible.

You guys do know that with ED a lot higher than 14.2% the rate for students admitted tomorrow is really going to be close to 10% right? Unless the 14.2% is RD, I didn’t bother checking the link.

wow gee thanks dunbar, as if I didn’t have enough to cry about! I appreciate the facts…wouldn’t say your timing is all that great.

14.2% is overall, so yes, RD is actually lower than the reported rate (as it is at every school with an early program).

I hope Furda can continue pulling rabbits out of his hat…

^Seriously. By next year probably every Ivy will have single digit acceptance rates except Penn and Cornell (again, largely by virtue of class size, but it doesn’t help people’s perceptions). At least Penn pulled away from Cornell this year. Last year’s 17% vs. 19% was a little close for comfort.

I like to conveniently forget … minor details like these

wow…

Haha, I thought the same thing.
