<p>Obviously, though, UCLA got a lot more applications since it is in SoCal.</p>

<p>Schools with a high API are considered schools that offer their students every advantage. API indexing is just another way to find students who are doing well despite attending a low performing high school.</p>
<p>those stats on the admit rate are for CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS only. they disregard out-of-state and international applicants.</p>
<p>i don't know about the other UCs, but the daily cal recently said that berkeley's overall admit rate is 21.5% this year.</p>
