I'm a junior at a carter school that is considered to teah a year or two ahead of the grade level. I'm in the top quarter of my graduating class of 130, but my gpa is a 3.31. I just got my psat back and my score were 520 reading, 570 math, and 570 writing. I excpect that they'll go up befoe I take the sat, as I'm taking a prep course. I'm also taking two AP's this year, and another 3 next year. I already have six college credits and I'm in five extracirriculars. But I'm worried that my low gpa could possibly hinder me. I want to know my chances of getting ino the Wharton School?

If you purely compare your stats with those of admitted students, then you’ll see that you’re clearly beneath the lowest percentiles of admitees. To be a viable Wharton applicant, I’d say you should be in the top handful of students at your school, have a 3.8GPA or above, and be safely north of 2100 SAT. I would not consider you a viable candidate for any Top 30 school, I’m sorry to say. Please meet with your guid counselor and ask him/her what other schools graduates with similar stats have applied to.

Who urinated in your cereal milk, Trippy? You stalk comet’s postings and tell him/her how stupid he/she is.

I’d rather be a little dumber and less a$$ holean than you. You’ll be a great nurse one day. I’m sure of it.

Just try to get within the 25-75 range:

CR 660-760
Math 690-780
Writing 680-770

Your stats a bit low for wharton. I would suggest taking the SAT/act and try to get a 2100+ or a 32+, also dont worry about the count on the extracirriculars, worry about how in depth you have gone in them. Good luck !

There’s no hard cutoff for SATs, but if you’re below 1900 (more like 2100, honestly) you’re going to need to be pretty extraordinary in some other way to be a competitive applicant.
