Admitted? Any one? Insider news.

I guess so. They probably need to review non-US qualifications? :D

Manual review usually means your school doesn't rank. For instance, mine has GPA (2 scales actually) but our school stopped reporting "deciles" to U of I this year. Therefore, the computer doesn't know how to add a ranking to our application, so a real person must decide (look at course work and past students from your high school, etc)

ahh.. that explains it.. thanks!

if u applied to business, FAA, or a high end engineering field you will be manually reviewed.

11 more days....I'm can't wait! I'm really excited and scared at the same time. :)

btw, even if you missed the priority filing period...your application status still should not be available...correct?

Just checked my status. It's supposed to have the STATUS line gone, right? Mine no longer says the whole "Complete Pending Manual Review, etc..."

Haha, yea, mine doesn't say that as well.

I dunno...maybe it's just me...but doesn't it seem odd that U of I offers a status of "manual review required?" You would think all applications would be reviewed manually. Doesn't exactly give credence to writing those essays!

so did you guys (edwinksl & cooljay136) meet the priority deadline?

I met the priority deadline.

same, i had it in september 11th

on mine the whole decision part is gone...
it said complete ready for review but this morning the section of decision was gone...anyone else?

Me too. I guess the same happens to everyone.

really? i don't think the entire decision part of mine is gone..well my application still says "regular admission"
but uh, my SAT scores didn't get there on time so i technically didn't make the deadline
hopes that they'll make a early decision for me anyways >_>

When you first go on to my son's account it says Processed Application. Then when you go into the Summary, my son's grid shows that everything was received by November 15th- but it is marked "Regular Admission". However, today he received a form letter from the Department he's applying to thanking him for his application and stating that decisions will be posted December 15th. So I am not sure what that Regular Admission correlates to.

Regular admission relates to everything, it's just that if you get everything in by Nov 15, you're priority, and you get your decision by next Friday

It's "regular admission," as opposed to a "transfer admission."
