Admitted but how can I afford it!?

I only received a 25K scholarship per year :(

apply for the DHS scholarship…

undertaker1664 - 25K is the highest you can receive based solely on your regular application. That is quite an achievement!!! I think I understand your confusion though. It does not mean you are not eligible for financial aid, including possible further grants. It all depends on your EFC. Also, as rodney says you can apply for the Deans Honor Scholarship. Winning this means full tuition, no matter how much it increases. It does require an additional application that is due Dec 15, so you need to hurry. You can also apply for the Community Service Scholarship, which is due in January sometime. It is usually $15,000 but unlike the DHS it is added onto your Presidential so it is pretty much like full tuition.

So there are several routes to affordability.

you are still eligible for financial aid! $25,000 is the amount they gave you based on merit. after you file with financial aid it is possible they may give you more.

a little known fact about tulane: this year they just started a new financial aid program where any student who comes from a household with income $75,000 or less is eligible for their no-loan assistance program which means tulane will gift the rest of the tuition in hopes you graduate with no loans.

i don’t know what kind of background you come from, but that should give you some hope!

“only” ? that’s the highest merit award they give out unless you apply for DHS…I understand that it may not be enough in your financial situation but come on, you sound ungrateful…if i had gotten the 25K instead of “only” 15K then I would be likely to attend Tulane if I don’t get into my top choice.
