Admitted, but no scholarship?

S is thrilled with his Fordham EA, but there's no scholarship offer in the packet...and we looked! We see on the other threads that Dean's Scholarship offers went out with the admission packets...is there a possibility that others will follow? He's a NMSF (and Finalist we hope...). It's unclear from Fordham's website whether all NMFs receive a scholarship, or only some of them. Any light that could be shed on this matter would be helpful, as Fordham is his listed first choice school for NM, and we need to change this if he won't be offered a scholarship.

Would sending improved senior year grades (over junior year ones) and better SAT scores help? Just wondering.

Not surprised that Fordham's applicant pool was so large and stellar this year...it's a terrific school.

i got into fordham but i'm surprised i didn't get scholarship.
a lot of people from my school get into fordham becuase of the jesuit ties, but only 1 person got a scholarship so far (out of about 10 very strong candidates) because she got a 1350+ on the SAT.

HeliMom, I would call or e-mail and ask. I was under the impression that Fordham gave a full ride to NMFs, but things change from year to year.

Thank you both for responding. The Fordham material does not explicitly state that all NMSFs will be offered scholarships; neither does it say they won't. I'll call after the first of the year.

Meanwhile, S has pulled his SATs up over 2200 and he's sent those new scores. One can only do what one can do...after that, it's in the hands of...the Jesuits. Grin
