Admitted Class of 2013

The Amherst’s rejection letter is the worst letter I have ever seen. Glad, and proud, to be rejected.

Trombone… I am not saying you are wrong, but from what I can tell, only internationals (email) and a few in Mass have received decisions. I highly doubt those are the only acceptances in all of Mass and who are on CC.

FB lalaland: What did it say that was so horrid?

I haven’t received my decision yet, either, but I have to say that checking decisions online from my computer is a cursed process.

So far, my acceptances have only been via mail and checking decisions online on my DAD’s computer (due to the crash of Williams’s server for like 40 minutes… and my computer’s apparent hate of college decisions).

I’m definitely not flipping out over Amherst nearly as much now that I have a yes in my pile, too.

Anyone here got waitlist-ed? I really hope to get into Amherst!

wait whaaaat. damn I’m in MA too and didn’t get a letter yesterday. Whatevs, I wasn’t holding out too much hope anyway due to my fight with the track coach hahaahaaa

S waitlisted but received acceptance from Pomona in the mail also, so a pretty good day!

i’m about to hit the mailbox pretty soon. heart beat’s going crazy.

Breath Prophet… breath. And then tell us where you live so we can estimate the mail flow! Wow… now my heart beat is going crazy as well…

And so the day begins…

Rejected in NY. Nescac hates me. Bye, board.

awww… bananafish… I am SO SO sorry. But it is NOT you personally. seriously, it is probably more a demographic thing that you have absolutely no control over. ((((((HUGE HUG)))))))) for you.

Same, I was waitlisted at Wes too…as was nearly every other kid at my school…which is particularly odd because my school typically gets about half a dozen kids in a year…curiouser and curiouser…

Just went to the mailbox…ACCEPTED!

Accepted. GPA 4.5, ACT 35, SAT 2340

so the prophet walks out to the mailbox, stands right in front of it, slowly opens the lid, sees some envelopes, carefully reaches his hand inside the mailbox, breathlessly pulls out the mail, tensely flips through the letters – and gets rejected from amherst.

lol. no problems, people. congratulations to all you accepters and have hope waitlisted wo/mans. as for the rejected – just read the letter and feel good. why not harvard, eh?

p.s. i’m by philly, so you can track how fast it reached me.

Oh well, letters out on Long Island.

i would consider being waitlisted at amherst a pretty considerable accomplishment- it really means they’d like to take you, but couldn’t, so don’t lose hope

IN! I will post my stats later but i am shocked! After my rejection from Wesleyan i wasn’t holding my breath for Amherst!

I was waitlisted at Amherst today (upstate NY).

I’m not upset at all though, I was accepted to Williams (yeah ephs!) yesterday.

It’s just kind of strange though, people are getting rejected by Wesleyan and getting into Amherst, and I was waitlisted at Amherst and accepted to Williams!
What a strange world!

^ I have come to the conclusion that they just pull names out of a hat lol

rejected! not too hurt because i was expecting it. I agree with the above though- i was really banking on Wesleyan, because my next choice is kind of a lower level schools (Lafayette/Holy Cross) I guess BC is always an option though…
