DS has been admitted to the Kate Gleason College of Engineering Class of 2017! Woohoo!
Checked his portal this morning where there was a big banner saying, "Congratulations"! He doesn't know yet, bought him a congrats card and will print out the portal and put it in the card once DH gets home tonight. Now to just keep him off that portal in the meantime!

Congratulations! How exciting! My son applied RD so we have awhile to wait.

Thank you ConfusedMominMa! Early decision acceptances were slow, I can’t imagine waiting for RD.

I have a question… for RD applicants, are we required to send in our 12th grade mid year grades?

Congrats! My son applied ED too and we haven’t heard anything yet. I just checked his portal and it just shows the things submitted.

Lilmelonred- I don’t know any official policy but I would imagine that they do want to see mid year grades. My DS’s high school GC told me that they send them out routinely to all the colleges to which someone has applied.

Oh. I don’t want my counselor to send them out to colleges that don’t need them though.

There is a box on the checklist for mid year grades. I believe they have to be in by Feb 1.

I don’t see the box…

Perhaps it only shows up if you’ve paid your tuition deposit. It is the last box on the checklist. Although, come to think of it, I suppose many kids won’t receive their acceptances until after Feb 1st. My guess is that they will have to provide end of year grades.

Ours just says “final HS transcript”, no mention of midyear. She was accepted ED.

D was accepted ED for F&A (film & animation). When the acceptance first appeared, the final transcript box appeared and said “due 2/1/13”. Now it says it is due 8/1/13, which makes more sense.

My S’s page now says final transcript, due 8/13, also.

My son’s still has the checklist of everything he turned in. I guess tomorrow is the day for ED deadliine. Just checked and didn’t see a rolling “congrats” just yet.

My son received a phone call tonight from RIT that he got accepted into the Video Game Programming…can finally breath a sigh of relief!

NhMom04, Momom2, and solittlesleep000, congrats to your sons!

So far on this thread we have a 3:1 ratio of boys:girls. Not a scientific sampling, I’m sure, but it will be interesting to see how that plays out in the long haul. I forget what the latest numbers were for the recent classes, but I understand the balance was shifting toward the girls.

Boy, will my son be happy to hear this!! :)

I think my D will enjoy being the 1 in 3!

I suppose., however, it’s irrelevant since we’ve already married off your D and my S!! :)

mamaduck - sorry, I must have missed your post. I think that makes the thread ratio now 3S:2D ?? Correct me if I’m wrong. (including only confirmed ED acceptances until others come through)

For ED students, they’re supposed to send the FA package in early Feb., is that right? I love it how it says on the website steps for FA that after you’ve submitted your FAFSA, you can just “sit back and relax”. Riiiigght.
