She is planning on attending. Looking at housing options for first-time freshman.

Wanted to say that although she is not planning on attending, she still has not heard back from CSULB yet. Admissions system in CSU’s (besides early acceptance) is done on a “rolling” basis. Because some of the CSU’s get thousands of applications, they have to admit by the week. I found that decisions were usually changed in the system on WEDNESDAYS. For those of you still waiting, I know it’s hard, but the admissions acceptances run thru out the ENTIRE month of March. Hold on…not much more time!

Got accepted on 3/2. Major is Kinesiology/Pre-Physical Therapy. Also got into Long Beach but was denied from Cal Poly. Don’t understand how these colleges pick students. Sooo frustrating!

kbec03 the “state schools” admit students “objectively”, whereas the UC’s are “subjective”. SDSU uses a formula adding the SAT (or ACT) score to the weighted 10/11 A-G GPA. They figure out a certain number and above the number you are in, below you are not. San Diego residents are given extra points. Cal Poly uses a slightly different method giving points for GPA (9-11), SAT or ACT, strength of schedule, and whether or not you participated in an extra-curricular activity (any activity). Also Cal Poly admits by major, so kinesiology majors are compared kinesiology majors, math majors are compared against math majors, etc… Some majors at Cal Poly are EXTREMELY hard to get into.

Hello…does anyone know what it means when your admission status date changes? I just noticed that it was updated to Feb. 23rd? Still no other news though. Just wondering if anyone knows what this means?

It’s just the last time they updated your particular web portal, nothing more nothing less. It also lets people that are admitted know the actual date when they are admitted. I checked my portal on Mar. 4, to find out that my status was changed to Admitted on Mar. 2. Don’t worry too much

I got accepted for Health Science(Public Health)! I don’t want to start during the summer"/ This school is my safety school…I just have to hear for UCSD "/

I know Cal Poly is hard to get into and that they use their own stats, but a rejection is a rejection and it’s our first one.My son had good grades and test scores as well as many extracurricular activities. My daughter goes there so we thought my son would too, but Kinesiology is a very competitive major so I understand. Still having a hard time deciding between SDSU and Long Beach…

Ok so i just got an email saying i need to check the status if my housing liscence agreement but i havent been accepted yet so i cant check it…whaat does this mean?

yep we got that email too…maybe a glitch? When are they going to release decisions?..all other Cal States including Long beach have released decisions. C’mon SDSU - you are the last one we are waiting on.

I applied as a transfer and mine is still pending as well. Maybe the housing options is what is listed at the bottom of the admission status page at the very bottom which asks you whether you will be planning on needing housing at sdsu or not.
