So i just heard back from MSU and they said I got accepted for spring semester 2019, I dont really know what to think of this. Do I still have a shot to get in for the fall, what steps do I do to make my chances of this better?
Lmao I got the same exact thing this morning. Quite honestly I’m a little pissed off because I would rather not be accepted than be accepted to only the spring semester. I’m also interested in know steps I can take to maybe get in for fall semester and if it is typical to get into fall semester after this happens to u. I also have a 1280 SAT with a 3.33 GPA. What are your stats?
we have really similar scores my dude, i got a 1290, and a 3.25. I’m kinda pissed too because I really wanna get in fall semester because of all thats going on during that time. I am gonna call the office of admissions and see what the chances are of something changing. Keep an eye on this post and I’ll let you know what I find out
Will do! I’m just in shock of this because I was told by 2 school counselors that my chances for admission were very high after they wanted to see my quarter one grades…
And sorry for double post but did u get a P.S. note at the bottom of your letter that’s online? I’m not sure if everyone got that or if it was just me.
yea it said something like ps we dont know the status of your admission to fall this is all the info we have for you now.
Just wanted to make sure someone else got that to because I sent my admissions counselor an email a couple nights back and thought it was a response to me.
Just got admitted for Spring too… not sure what to do.
@Jadsaf are you in state or OOS?
Hey! I also got admitted for the spring semester yesterday. I plan on taking a semester to study at Lansing Community College. I honestly believe that this will help make the transition to college easier while still allowing me to be in Lansing. Maybe this will work for you too if you are not admitted for fall? Best of luck!
I just got admitted for fall this morning
Same here. Was admitted this morning with a 1280 sat and 3.33 gpa
Congrats!! Did you guys submit anything extra after the deferral? Was thinking of sending a recommendation letter from my A.P. physics teacher.
No. I was planning on it but my counselor was telling me I should be fine without one due to my high SAT
I have a 3.22 and 1250 sat so hopefully i will get in for fall too.
Made it in for Fall!
@jbskee I know you posted a while ago, but make sure MSU is okay with you taking classes somewhere else before starting in the spring (same for anyone else with spring admissions). Some colleges won’t allow this.
If anyone is transferring in spring 2019, I am subleasing my house as I’m going abroad for the whole spring semester!! let me know if you would be interested and I’ll provide you w more info. Its on Beal 4 bedroom 2 bath really good location
I got admitted for MSU’s spring semester as well. I was wondering if you applied for a major that has limited space and you get accepted in the summer, will you get that major? Because I put down my interest in Lyman Briggs but I was accepted into the spring semester though they said that if I accept by May 1 they’ll let me know if there are any available spots.
