I have just received an offer to Desautel's Faculty of Management . I am IB student and I had 34/45 predicted grades. I am just wondering if anybody knows average IB grade of admitted students. (I mean final decision, not conditional one). Btw, any IB students here got offers? share your stats : P

Congrats! I got accepted at McGill 2weeks ago:) and my predicted grades are 42/43. Sorry, i dont know about the average mcgill ib grade but what i heard from them was just to get at least 5s in every subjects then you’ll be fine.

wow. very nice predicts! what subjects? R u applying only in McGill?

Hey, was just wondering …do they expect you acheive the predicted grades?

I’m doing GCE A levels not IB though.

Well, I think my predicted were lowered so…

sorry…i didnt get you =/

In my opinion I got to low predicted grades, so I expect to get better results in exams. Btw, are you considering U of T as an alternative?

ah, my bad for not understanding that.

Not sure yet, they’re supposed to give me an offer(or rejection) by the end of this month. I’d rather go to McGill though.

I’m considering going into Arts stream and majoring in econoimcs…instead of going into Management and majoring in finance. The tuition difference is about $8k for internationals, don’t really know the difference between the two degrees.

Well. I am waiting for UTCS Manegement co-op decision. And yet haven’t decided Desautels Faculty Management or Arts program. Btw, am I the only one whose the major is “undeclared”?

Same here…I think you have to declare it during the 2nd year.

does anyone know do they give conditional offers? because my grades were predicted at 37/45 but i know there is not a chance i can get that. if i don’t get my predicted scores do they withdrawal my acceptance?

well, as I know its conditional. However, in mcgill.ca IB minimum score is quite low. 32 or 34.dont remember… but I dont believe that every applicant who gets more than minimum gets in automatically. Since I have 34 and u can chose only 1 university from all Canadian, I have pretty much the same problem. I dont know if I should risk accepting the offer. Maybe smb knows the IB average of accepted McGill students? At least approximately?

approxiamte is 35 points for any1 who wants to know.

i just applied with 37 points
