Admitted, need help choosing school

Now that I am getting my admittance letters back, I have to figure out what college to choose. Does anyone have any advice about what schools would be best for me?

I have been admitted into NC State, Michigan, Illinois-UC, and Georgia Tech, all for engineering. I'm waiting to hear back from Duke, Stanford, and Vanderbilt.

I want a challenging college but I still want to be able to stand out.

Bigger classes is not a deal-breaker for me, as long as the professors are accessible and good at what they teach. Accessibility is especially important for research or work opportunities.

I want to work hard AND have a great time. My idea of fun includes partying and being able to go into town and have plenty of options for doing new things. Ideally a true college town wold fit me best, because I want to immerse myself in college life. Good sports teams would be nice.

Also, I plan on going to graduate school, so does anyone know which of these schools might look best to graduate admissions? Or at least which school will best teach me the skills necessary to shine as an engineer? Any advice is appreciated.

These are all good schools for engineering and your coursework will be more or less equivalent. If you plan to go to graduate school, then having research opportunities is very important so you should visit your top choices, speak to other students there and just decide based on finances, which one fits you best and the one which gives you the best opportunity to get involved in research.

Are finances a consideration?

If not, then of the choices you have, this:

“Ideally a true college town wold fit me best, because I want to immerse myself in college life. Good sports teams would be nice”

screams Michigan to me.
