"Admitted Pending Final Results"? Please help!

I'm pretty sure there are other colleges with this type of decision, but I got "Admitted Pending Final Results" from McGill University in Canada.
The HELP section in the status check only says:
"You have been accepted to the program specified. Details are indicated in your letter of acceptance. Please arrange for final academic results to be sent as soon as they are available. You can verify the required documents on your Checklist."

On my checklist, it says they need my "High School Graduation Proof", my "Advanced Placement Exam Result ", and "Additional Requirement - SATI Writing score Dec 2009".

I can understand that they won't admit me if I don't graduate high school, but does this mean they can revoke my acceptance if I don't do well on my AP tests this May, or if they don't like my previous SAT score?

I'm very concerned, because if I accept McGill's offer on May 1st, and they drop me later in the year bc they didn't like my AP scores or my SAT score, I won't have any college to go to for Fall 2010 since I would have already said yes to McGill in May, and would have already let my other colleges know that I won't be attending their school.

Why don’t you call them and ask exactly what they mean? I don’t think the last two requirements make sense.

I tried calling them but no one’s picking up :frowning:
I think it’s because they’re on spring break.

Thanks for replying tho :)

Posting this on the Mcgill board would’ve been much more useful.
However, as far as I understand, you basically need to graduate highschool. Your scores need to drop DRASTICALLY, or you have some disciplinary in order for your admittance to be rescinded. and of course they would not suddenly “not like” your SAT score.
check on the McGill board to make sure thou.
but congrats, you’re in.

Office staff do not take spring break, try calling again. Did you indicate that you would be taking the SAT1 writiing test in Dec 2009? If so, they need that score. Likewise if you indicated that you would be taking an AP exam. Rescinding an offer would only occur if later results were abysmal.

Mostly, i just had to say that based on the name Obiwancanoli, you win top ten for screennames. Good luck. Call again. They want you to do well.

They only want your AP scores so they can give you credit if you score well. They’re not gonna rescind if you don’t get a 5.
