In! yay! Davis is my top choice among the UCs.

In with regents - biological sciences. I didn't apply for financial aid but the MyAwards page says my total cost of attendance is $0.00 ... full ride? Really!?

If you meant you haven't submitted FAFSA and you want to enroll, you'd better submitted FAFSA soon since you'll only get full ride if there is proven financial need; otherwise you'll receive $7,500 only.

Got in with $23,000 in aid!!! BTW i am ELC.

In.

3.63 gpa uw
33 act

Congratulations to everyone!

I got in today! I had previously committed to SDSU, but it looks like ill be retracting that and heading to davis!

congrats everyone

I am happy to let you know that I got into UC Davis for the undeclared Life Sciences. I wish the best for all other people

I got in, but I didn't get enough aid. =(
My EFC was about 14,400 but Davis wants me to pay around 17,000.
Got regents at UCSB, though, so I'll probably end up there.

What about UCSD? =O

If I get in I probably won't be able to afford it. =(

Rumor has it that UCSD is this Sunday. Seeing as how I'm out of Davis, SD is my next shot at a UC xD

HOW THE **** DO PEOPLE AFFORD COLLEGE? My EFC is like 17,000 and we barely have any extra money. I can't even enjoy my acceptance.

I have just enough money to get by freshman year on my own (from my own pocket, FAFSA, other financial aid, and scholarships). At the same time, I'm planning to buy things i need (books, fees, etc) with my credit card and build up my credit score that way. Hopefully, I can take out a loan sophomore year with a decent credit score I've built up.

Yes, I am going into debt deeply, but I'd rather be a poor yet smart college student than a poor not-college graduate with no job opportunities.

Coming from a family who makes less than 40k/year, even a single book looks like a ton of money, but hey, our lives will be better because of it in the end, right? :)

Hope this helps you, and remember that there are a ton of other people like you out there, now more than ever with the bad economy. UCs are definitely aware of that, and they'll be more than willing to try to work something out with you.

Just got in too

r31ncarnat3d: Thanks for the reassurance. I'm just kind of stressed because I don't want my decision to come down to money. I want to go where I want to go, not to the school that gives me the most aid. However, UCSB is a really great school and I wouldn't mind going there.

In with regents (undeclared life sciences)!

I didn't get any other fin. aid though. :P

But...my first acceptance! Woo Aggies!!

haha, I just found my acceptance email in the SPAM folder. :D

I was accepted but i never got an email

mine was in the spam folder also! but davis really needs to make the "Congrats you have been accepted" more conspicuous.

Accepted- Chemical Engineering... but i changed my mind and want to major in finance. wrote engineering on almost all my apps... damn

yay i was accepted!! :)

xD in with regents~
my first formal acceptance!

my fanancial aid is weird though....i submitted FAFSA, but everything is $0 on there :O
