Admitted student coming to visit

S has been admitted to R-H for Computer Engineering. He has never been on campus and in fact had never heard of the school until both myself and his CC discussed it with him last fall.

He is excited to come see R-H before the 5/1 deadline. We live several thousand miles away, and I want to make sure he gets a good feel for R-H. Does anyone have any suggestions for visiting? Should we go to one of the pre-scheduled visit days or are those mostly for rising HS seniors? What worked for you?

Thanks,
PP

Do not come for a prescheduled day…those are best as an initial introduction to the school. Call 800-248-7448 and ask to speak to Nancy Apple. She will set up an individualized visit for you where you can meet one-on-one with a counselor, faculty member, etc. Give a couple weeks notice, and staying overnight in a freshman hall is even possible (no guarantee).

Let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks Jared - will do.

I’m glad you are going to visit. My son and I went to visit last month and were not only pleasantly surprised but excited by the time we left (he did spend the night in the dorm). My son has been accepted to R-H and is greatly looking forward to the challenge … the kids and faculty sold it …
