Hey all, I was wondering if the Spring Open House (April 5th) is a good program for an admitted student to go to. I’m not available any of the other days (not even apr 6 lol) and can’t make the overnight visits, but I’ve never even been to the city of Chicago and wanted to at least squeeze in a visit to check it out. If the open house isn’t a good alternative, does anyone know if there are any chicago admitted students programs for april 5th? maybe I’m just blind and didn’t see any? (a high possibility)
The large Spring Open House that they have for students looking into UChicago is going to take up a good number of Admission Office personnel so they probably won’t have something for admitted students at the same time. Call Admissions and see what they can recommend instead - they might have some ideas for you (including a smaller more personalized tour if someone’s available to conduct that and the possibility of sitting in on a class).
Also, see if you can attend a local admitted reception in or near your area.
