I am an international student who got accepted to school of business...but my ACT score might become invalid in few weeks...and I sent the new score today... But my new score is much lower than old one...what would happen to me??

I think a lot depends on why your original ACT score is becoming invalid. Please explain that…

Act won’t tell the reason for canceling the score to the school. I think they will review the my app again with the new score

Why is ACT canceling your score?

Idk … Will it affect my decision

I find it hard to believe that you don’t know why your previous score might become invalid. Why do you think it might? I know I’d certainly ask, if my previously reported score “might become invalid in a few weeks.” So, I’d find out, if I were you. As to whether it will affect your decision, that will depend on why your previous score became invalid. So…(1) find out, (2) Let us know, and then we can assess whether your decision will be affected.

Daniel7157-I get the impression that you are leaving something out of this story?

They said there was too much gap between the two tests… Now they are saying this…

if you’re already admitted, you should be fine. just relax.

Exactly. If the previous score was sent to UIUC, and they admitted you based on it. It doesn’t matter that a later score was sent. They use the highest score submitted. If they don’t have a problem with the date of the test, then no problem. And since they admitted you based on that test, they did not have any issues with it.

I only sent one score for admission like in December for regular decision…but now that score probably get cancel ,but I sent Another score from previous test which is lower than one I sent in december…

I talked to them and they said when act notify them about the score, they will see if that score will affect my admission decision or not,so I have to wait few more weeks…but the problem is deposit deadline is soon.

as of now, you’re admitted. i would go ahead and put a deposit and be an “admitted” student.

I would lose my money if they take away acceptance decision…

I’m just super curious… why will UIUC request your ACT score again? Didn’t you send them an official score before you apply? If you don’t tell them your score is invalid now, why will they know?

I did ,but act might cancel the score…so act will notify uiuc about that

Daniel-sounds like the entire matter is out of your control

Yeah I know…i just have to wait and see what uiuc will decide about it

U of I doesnt require you to pay anything for your decision, its free! the only thing you have a deposit for is housing, which is not due until may 7th.
