Admitted Student Overnight Programs

"Admitted student overnight programs on March 22-23, April 5-6, April 12-13, and and April 22-23. We also have an overnight with our program on April 20, staying on campus that Friday night, as well as day-only programs Saturday, March 31, and Monday, April 16."

So do any of you plan on going to any of these? I'm thinking about going for the one on the 20th.

im currently a student at case. went to one of these overnights last year and its pretty much what decided the school for me. I cannot stress how good it is to take advantage of this opportunity.

this being said…its interesting that the school if offering an overnight on April 20th being that it is the largest drug holiday of the year. be careful when judging the school on that date (for good and bad)

I am definitely attending but when i went to their website- the admission.case.edu/visit link, I couldn’t figure out how to register for the date. Any help?

I’m a current freshman at Case too and it was the best decision ever to go to an overnight! I’ve learned so much from the girl I did my overnight with- we still talk and she’s been a great mentor for me! It should pop up on your student checklist eventually!

What does the overnight visit consist of?

You get assigned (usually with one other prospective student) to a first-year with the same major. You go to a prospective-freshman dinner, movie, etc., and stay with the first-year in their dorm room. I’m a nursing student, and I found it very helpful to do the overnight… the other prospective student ended up going to Case too and it was nice to know someone in my classes beforehand!

I also tried to use the website on the tshirt package, but it is not the one for admitted students. You will find that in your letter and package received in the mail.

I registered my D for the March one. She has not yet visited the school, and she needs to do more research to see if it will be worth the drive for our family from the northeast. The March visit is over her break so she would not be missing school.

I haven’t yet looked for hotel accommodations yet, if the current students wish to throw out recommendations, that would be appreciated.

I’m going to the April 5-6 one. I’ve never officially toured the campus.

I’m definitely planning on going to one. I don’t know which yet, though. I’ve lived in a suburb of Cleveland all my life and have been in and around Case a lot over the course of it, but never evaluated it as I’m going to have to now.

So I’m doing the overnight on the 5th to 6th aka this thursday!
I registered, but does anyone know if there’s like an agenda that we can look at with more specific details? Should parents book a hotel by campus?

The InterContinental Suites Hotel, which is by the Cleveland Clinic, is the cheapest! It’s like, $99 a night for a whole family suite… if you have a car, its only a 5 minute drive from campus. If you want on-campus, there is the Glidden House, which is right on the corner of Juniper and Ford.

My son is going for the overnight on April 22nd. We looked into the InterContinental Suites but it was a lot more than $99.00. It was practically double that. Is there a discount for Case visitors that we don’t know about?

My parents told them that I am a Case student and they receive a discount… I believe we always stay in 400 or 401 for $99

S did the 2-day program in March. They didn’t email the agenda until the day before.

Thanks for the info. We called and you were right. It’s $99.00.

My son will be going on the overnight on April 12 and 13th. He is from NY and an engineering major.

Thanks for the info.

Any engineering majors out there?

Honestly I liked Case, but this event kind of sucked… I stayed at a dumpy frat house where my student was too scared to take me off campus so we watched some stupid rope pulling where pretty much nothing happened. I was then taken to a sophomore dorm with some of his friends where the people where pretty much waiting for me to leave, so they could start drinking so… that was awkward. Then we went back to the frat house where I pretty much just sat there.

Actually, we are not allowed to take students off campus by law. What frat did you stay at? Sorry you had a bad experience… I know my prospies and I had a great time!

Can you explain exactly what the prospective student can expect on the overnight visit?

Sigma Phi Epsilon
