Good advice re: preparing for “the call”. My daughter wasn’t expecting it and although she gave okay (I think) responses to their questions, she really couldn’t think of any questions to ask, “on the spot.”
Well, they are certainly NOT going to rescind a possible admit or scholarship decision based on a conversation with a student volunteer!!! This is likely just good PR and outreach. I wouldn’t read more into it. I know that admissions is strong this year (read my post on raising OOS tuition) but I highly doubt they’ve incorporated “surprise interviews” into the process on-the-fly.
D received her online admission notice yesterday for CFANS. She submitted her app on Nov 2. Whew!
anyone else get scholarship info today?
i got the 8k scholarship that equalizes the out of state cost to instate…but is this the highest amount they give to out of state students? really expected more…
Did you get the Gold National? That is what my D2 and S2 received. They received nothing else as of now.
D2 admitted today to CLA - Yay! And Whew!

Thanks @cyclonesgrad she’s happy but I’m a bit disappointed that Goldy Gopher wasn’t dancing a jig when we checked the Tracker. I had been looking forward to that possibility.

@Mamelot Before D2 was accepted did the application tracker say carefully considering or did it just say accepted without any notification before?
This year it just went straight to the acceptance. Last year with D1 there was a weekend of "carefully considered . . . ". Not sure why it was different this year. Did anyone get a “carefully considered” this year?
Also, I’m really hoping everyone on this thread still waiting on a decision gets one very soon - especially the ones who applied early with decent stats. The Priority Deadline is Tuesday and the vast majority of applications are in so they should be able to start looking at a bunch of them now. Hopefully it’ll go quickly for you, @vvfor3. Good luck!

Hey, did anyone get a packet in the mail? I was notified online of my acceptance about a week ago but still haven’t gotten anything in the mail. I’m worried about scholarships and such.
It took about two weeks for my letter to come
@JerzJim Yeah I was also wondering the same thing! How long did it take from the time you were accepted online till you received an admissions packet in the mail? I got accepted last Tuesday, and I have yet to receive my packet.
It took nearly 3 weeks for me but I live far away in the south.

(originally only sent SAT score, but was starting to get worried so I sent my ACT score 3 days ago and heard this morning so I think that helped.)
