Does anyone know if I have to actually enroll for them to consider me for scholarships?

Got accepted today to CLA.

Class Rank: 33 out of 270

GPA(W):3.65
ACT:34
OOS - CA
Applied to CSE.

Any idea how many weeks I may have to wait before a decision rolls in?

Thanks

@samikhan It’s hard to tell. You have an amazing ACT score but you’re GPA (and class rank, I’d assume) are on the lower end. If you’re going to be accepted I’d guess 3-5 weeks.

@samikhan To give you an idea, S’s app to CSE was complete in early Sept. He has 35 ACT (including 36 in math), 4.02 wgpa, 12 AP including this year, OOS and we haven’t heard yet either…

Thanks for this link. My son was admitted to Minnesota into CSE. He wants to study Computer Engr or EE. He also applied to Iowa State (admitted), Purdue, Case Western and Ohio State. Awaiting decisions on last three.

It was interesting to see how they all ranked to one another.

In the long run it will come down to merit aid and where he feels he fits the most. Although Minnesota is #1 closely followed by Purdue.

@pacesaces Have you seen this site for engineering school rankings? It can be sorted by major and degree level.

@samikhan 3.65 W GPA may be an issue. ACT is no issue. What is your class rank?

CyclonesGrad:

Great site for the rankings. We used this to update our “table” of facts for our son’s school choices. It puts the programs into perspective.

Thanks.

Did the letter come with merit aid too/honors college info? @ThatsMyKid

@catmss24 - The letter did not contain information about honors or scholarships.
