Just got in to CLA today!

GPA- 3.75 UW

SO happy! :slight_smile:

Why are there a less number CBS acceptances?

@yungindian

Congratulations! Also applied there. Seems to be doing OOS first.

Accepted to LAC as an Econ major, here are my stats:
GPA: uw-3.45 W. 3.83 (My school keeps weighted on a 4.0 scale, I know itā€™s weird)
Act: 30
Rank: Top 11%
Hooks: Awesome Essay, First gen. college student, Extenuating circumstances in my sophomore year explained a drop in grades. (Near perfect grades all other years) Very rigorous course work (8 Apā€™s, all the rest honors)
IL resident

Congrats to everybody whoā€™s gotten in so far and good luck to everyone who hasnā€™t heard back!

@Jcamz98 Congrats! When was your application complete? Also, do you mean CLA(College of Liberal Arts)?

@vvfor3 I completed it right around October 23rd I believe. And yeah I did mean CLA.

Hey, has anyone received any information about scholarships?

Last year (according to this thread here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-minnesota-twin-cities/1695220-timing-of-scholarship-notification.html) admitted students started receiving offers as early as November 1stā€¦

Why do they send OOS first? Should I expect a wait because I live in WI and would get reciprocity tuition? For reference: I sent my app on 11/4/15, 3.99 UW, 33 ACT, 7/127 rank.

@smithemi97 I donā€™t think you should expect to wait due to being from Wisconsin. My son and two others from his class were admitted pretty quickly (and all into different colleges at UMTC). I think Iā€™ve seen others from Wisconsin on this thread as well.

Best of luck!

Thanks @Mtriplee
Iā€™m assuming the acceptances are coming via portal first, right? Have you gotten an email/snail mail yet? And if so, how long did that take? Iā€™m just really freaked out and need some tangible proof that a school will take me, considering Iā€™m expecting a batch of rejections come spring haha

@smithemi97 Yes, the decision seems to show up on the portal well ahead of any other type of notification. My son hasnā€™t received email or snail mail since being accepted a week ago.

Going back and looking at this thread from February, it appears it could be a long wait for some applicantsā€¦even if you submitted your application in August or September:

Best Friday the 13th ever!

Accepted to CSOM: Nov 13th

Applied: Oct 19th

Congrats, @UniversityGeek!

Yay! Happy for you, @UniversityGeek :slight_smile:

@UniversityGeek Congrats! What were your stats? And also are you in stats?

@vvfor3

Thanks! My stats are 3.93 unweighted gpa (4.19 weighted) and 31 ACT. Am I in stats? Do you mean like have I taken AP stats and trig?

Oh sorry type. I meant are you instate?
