Does anyone have information on Admitted Students Day/Weekend? I remember seeing something in the materials my son received, but not much detail.

Anyone know anything?

[Admitted Student Open House (Bowdoin - Admissions)](http://www.bowdoin.edu/admissions/openhouse/index.shtml)

The Inn at Brunswick Station is a nice place for parents and is right next to the campus. There are several B & Bs (including Brunswick Inn which I hear is nice but have not stayed there), cheaper hotels (America’s Best Value inn is cheap, clean and run by a very friendly Indian couple).

Good restaurants include the Frontier Cafe, Tavern at Brunswick Station, Bombay Mahal. For breakfast try Wild Oats Bakery (also has great soups) or check out the Farmers Market on the Green on Sat AM. Gelato Fiasco has great gelato for dessert. For coffee, try the Little Dog Coffee Shop- also a good study hangout for kids who want to escape Bowdoin for a couple of hours. All of these are within walking distance and helps one get a sense of what the local Brunswick community is like since Bowdoin and the quaint village of Brunswick are conjoined. They also have an quirky independent bookstore.

For those already decided and attending Bowdoin in the Fall, how important/helpful would it be to attend the Admitted Students Open House? Is there information there that would be helpful to have prior to orientation in August?

Not really- mostly just a nice opportunity to get to know more about the school.
