Admitted Students Day

Is this event beneficial for early decision students who have already accepted?

I’m going. There’s a lot more than just a tour, and I’ve only been on the campus once, so it’ll be nice to see a little more than I did the first tour last summer.

It’s designed for potential students, but I’m sure it’ll be informative for confirmed students too.

I don’t know how “beneficial” it will be though.

what are you hoping to find out? ASD is when they try to sell the school to the students who are weighing their options. You can go on tours, visit departments, etc.

My D is planning to go as well and she’s already committed to attend. Admissions sent a letter to ED students letting them know that although they are welcome to attend ASD, it would be targeted toward those who have not yet made up their minds. My D insists on going, however, so that she can meet all the other ED students who are attending. Evidently, they are all talking on facebook and everyone is planning on going. It is not a convenient weekend for us because it is opening weekend for a show that she is in. We are literally driving to Williamsburg Friday night after the show, spending Saturday at W&M and then driving back for the 7 p.m. performance on Saturday night. Crazy!

It can be a fun experience. There are some social events as well as tours and academic information about the school. Also, all the departments have open houses, so you can go get information on different majors, which can be helpful if you want to start planning for next fall a little early.

When is the admitted students day?

It’s on April 17th.

any student (early or regular decision) is invited to attend Day for Admitted Students to learn more about what W&M has to offer. It’s a really fun and exciting day on campus with a lot of energy and Tribe Pride.
