Are there any students admitted to JHU for biology major?

I am. Pre-med path :)

don't worry, you're not the only one

lol I had to say that because I just read your screenname

ME. Molecular and Cellular Biology

Could you guys please PM me the acceptance emails you guys got from JHU? You guys can just copy and paste.

Did you get accepted? I don't think JHU sends out different acceptance letters to people with different majors.

i am and i put down that i wanted to be a bio major, but have since changed my mind neway

If I wanted to major in a a humanities, can I still take bio classes just for fun although it wouldn't count for anything?

i thought you dont get accepted FOR a particular major (except BME).. you go there and decide which one you want to do within a year or two. but yeah i put bio as my intended major too

For enrolling students, the major(s) you placed on your application and the major(s) you place on your enrollment form and the major(s) you place on the registration forms over the summer are all INTENDED majors. They are used to assign academic advisors and assist in first year course selection, but they are not "written in stone."

Arts and Sciences students have until the end of their second year to declare their official major. Advising in A&S is general assignment until your major is declared, though advisors do match up to intended majors to assist you.

Engineering students have until the end of their freshman year to declare - in fact all engineering students that first year do not fall under a specific major category. Advisors are assigned as a group in the Engineering school, similar to A&S except for a few slight differences.

You may switch your intended major at any time, and switch between A&S and Engineering, and vice versa. You are not admitted to a specific major, but admitted to the University and have the ability to take any course, any program offered in the two schools.

(((As always, the exception to all this is BME.)))

Finally, when you do declare your major or even as intended majors you are not limited from taking courses across disciplines. Nat. Sci. students can take Eng. courses, Soc. Sci. students can take Nat. Sci. courses, Eng. students can take Humanities, and vice versa vice versa vice versa. There are few (if any) limits on course selection based on declared majors. This is one of the great qualities (FLEXIBILITY) of the JHU curriculum.

Hope that helps.
