Party, huh?

I'll be arriving Saturday night... any guys I could crash with?

I really don't want to stay with my cousins.

i suppose you can crash here (or i can find you someone). i would tell you my name, but that would be against CC policy. just ask for Sug or BombFrosh. (a lot of people will know who you are talking about)

ok, I don't think the name thing is that big of a deal... people have posted first names on here in the past, and as far as I know, no one has had as much as a warning.

Also, parking is not free. There's a $50 registration fee per semester (or maybe it's per year... I'm not sure). You don't have to pay it up front, though, so rocketDA (I suppose I'll avoid using your name since you suddenly seem to think it's an issue), if you brought a car, the fee probably just went into your bill, which your parents probably paid without a second thought. I didn't realize until the second semester that I had my car here, when I flat out asked my parents about it, that there was in fact the advertised registration fee.

Also, I don't know if you should really be advertising for the party on Saturday... and they wouldn't be able to get in, anyway.

Oh, a somewhat off topic question: How Mac friendly is the school in general? Would it be a good idea to bring a laptop over during ASP?

Not really, because you have 24 hour access to computer labs at Mudd, which are top-notch. Of course, you do need a Mudd student to sign you in, but I think if you ask nicely they'll let you do it.

darnit peanut butter, you're right. they can't get in. sorry about that peeps. i forgot about the security issue.

oh well, at least they know that we are not stale at mudd. i think that was more-so the point.

is there really a $50 fee? darn. i have got to read that paperwork more closely. ehh, whatever, $50 is nothing for having a car here. the permit at ucla, for example is several hundred.

peanut butter, i have some names... some people are hosting prefrosh for the whole weekend. ;-)

not the greatest day of posting for me yesterday. sorry for the confusion!

oh shame shame, rocketDA. Way to break a girl's heart!
I'm totally lost on trying to figure out how to get from USC to Claremont right now, esp since I'm freaked to be in downtown LA all by myself, wandering around not knowing where the f I'm going.

*dncrditz - - *
If you're in L.A. without a car, then the best way to get to Claremont is by taking the MetroLink train. http://www.metrolinktrains.com/

yes, that's what I'm planning on doing. I'm just having trouble now figuring out how to get from the USC campus to the Union Station.

A taxi would probably be easiest (and safest) - - it's only about five miles from USC to Union Station.

I ended up calling an old family friend to give me a ride to Union Station, and I'm here now at Pomona College :D

so where did you all room? Anybody stayed in Atwood? I wonder if I met any of you in real life...

my S, Jeff, stayed in Atwood - 2nd floor.

BTW, West looks like a third world slum.

I was in Atwood too.... the room with the bong outfront (you didnt hear that parents)

heh, I stayed in Linde. Supposedly the only room with a cage on campus.

Ah, yeah... West isn't generally very clean, but you did see it at one of its worst moments. The only time when it gets messier is during finals week, during something we call "noisy minutes"...

Eh, I stayed in East.

I stayed in Case. Nice except on Monday morning when I hopped out of the shower in just a towel and saw two guys getting ready to get down to their birthday suits. oh the joys of unisex bathrooms... eek.

speaking of noisy minutes and finals....

:) = noisy minutes
:( = finals
