First of all, I'd like to congratulate everyone who received an exciting email today ;)
Online it says there is an accepted students reception, on campus, on April 8th.
Does anyone know what these receptions are like?

Hi,
My daughter and I attended the Admitted Students Reception a couple of years ago when she was accepted. It really was wonderful. You and your parents (or a friend) can go on a campus tour…visit a dorm room (which are AMAZING btw) and generally get a good “feel” for the campus and students. You can also ask questions and really get some informed answers, especially if you are still a little undecided on where you want to attend. If you have never been on the Pepperdine campus its a MUST! The campus is truly beautiful and the dorms were the best we visited out of 12 universites including Stanford!
Good Luck!

Thank you so much for your reply! It was very informative! I have been fortunate enough to have visited the campus, which had a wonderful feel and great ocean view I might add. I have not been able to view the dorms, which I am really looking forward to. Did your daughter decide to go to Pepperdine? If not what University did she attend? If so, does she enjoy the school?

My daughter does attend Pepperdine and she absolutely LOVES it! She was accepted to some wonderful universities including UCLA, SMU, ASU Barretts Honor College and 7 others however she fell in love with Pepperdine instantly. Pepperdine is a wonderful school. The professors really care about the students and really take the time to get to know you. She is currently a sophomore and is in London for her study abroad year. Among Pepperdine’s many wonderful attributes as a great school it has one of the best study abroad programs. They have 9 Pepperdine campuses around the world…London, Germany, Switzerland to name a few. Congratulations on your acceptance!
