I'm only going to tell you this once: you got in. Congrats. It doesn't matter how you got in, it doesn't matter what your stats are. Your chance of admission is now, officially, 100%. I know you are going to want to talk about your AP scores to everyone you meet for your first quarter. Resist the urge. That "bunch of theater crap" says way more about you than your class rank. Talk about that, instead.

This has been a public service announcement.

you mean my profs won't care about my stellar achievement in my 9t grade english class?

i think its a little odd that UCLA didnt conatc students to say that the decisions were up. of course, living in LA everyone told everyone else real quick...i guess acceptees who didnt check would know by the invitation to the housing chat that was emailed today.

in in in in in in in still not my first choice but who cares now its actually an option... and in with a 10k scholarship... was not expecting that!

How do Calgrants work? Does anybody have a Calgrant on their financial aid letter? I got a ~12k scholarship + Pell grant, but I'm not sure if the Calgrant is a part of the scholarship or if it'll come later, or maybe I just didn't get a Calgrant. Any ideas? My Webgrants page says my application is "being processed."

uclaboi: the cal grant is separate from scholarships. in your ucla financial aid package, u will be offered up to 4 things: grants, scholarships, loans, and work study. when u receive that package, u have to accept/decline what you wish to receive. so be patient, ur financial letter from ucla may not have been processed yet. but if u hav received it, just kno that the cal grant & scholarships are not combined. they are 2 different kinds of money. ok? :) congrats!

i was just wondering,,,,,are any of you international students???I'm interested in applying and I don't know if I have good enough stats,,,if you're an international student and got accepted to UCLA, please post your stats...

For any of you whose high school offers IB:

Does UCLA give admission advantage to IB diploma candidates over regular IB student (taking same classes - just not doing the extended essay, CAS)?

I hear the UC app asks “Are you an IB diploma candidate?” Does that mean it has a significant impact?

At my school, there was a noticeable difference between those who got accepted to ucla and those who didn’t. Almost every one was full ib, whereas acceptances at berkeley did not hinge on that.

Im an international student and i’ve heard that students like myself are highly disadvantaged because of their lack of american citizenship. i was actually born in LA but i live in Toronto now.

From an INTERNATIONAL student, what SAT scores do adcoms expect? :S
On the march test, i got 2080 total,
I did another test today and im expecting to get a score around 2200, do they expect more than this from INTERNATIONAL students???
