Does anyone know if Fordham conducts sessions for applicant students who've been accepted, but have not decided to enroll yet? I visited the RH campus last Summer and I was impressed- I really liked it, but I'd like to have more exposure to the campus to get a more in-depth sense of what Fordham's like..

I was wondering the same thing. I looked on the Fordham website and they said they have admitted students days-- I think they are in February and April. Check the website, though because I’m not entirely sure.

Here is the website. I’m guessing that admissions will send you information about these days at some point. I went to the President’s Spring preview with my S and it was excellent. It was worth it just to hear Father McShane speak. My S is now a junior at Fordham now.

I am going to Europe during the February dates, so I won’t be able to see the school until April. Anyone care to describe the campus at all? I hope April is not too late for a first impression!

Yes…going to Accepted Student orientation is a fabulous idea and really, really worthwhile. The campus is gorgeous…especially in April. Its a fun packed weekend, with a rousing speech from Fr. McShane, SJ, and a chance to meet and speak with him,and other professors or administrators, take tours of dorms, speak with student leaders etc and make the final decision. Frankly, it is what sold us on Fordham 4 years ago…

So yes, go to that orientation.

janemac- April is definitely not too late to visit Fordham. But it is a good idea to see schools before making a final decision as to where you want to go. In the meantime, there is an online tour but it really does not do justice to the campus, which is gorgeous. There are a number of beautiful old buildings mixed in with wonderful green spaces.
If you have time and like movies, the recent films Solitary Man and Wall Street 2 as well as Matt Damon’s upcoming movie The Adjustment Bureau had a couple of scenes filmed at Fordham. Or look up “U2 Fordham” on YouTube for a view of beautiful Keating Hall.

If you go into my fordham.edu and go into the admitted student section you will see dates for admitted students to visit. President days are in April but there are also visit days during February.
