Admitted students weekend?

First off, I really don't know whether I'll get into Smith. But I am trying to figure out my plans for April, and I was wondering whether anyone knows of events for admitted students. What are the dates? Or has that information not been released yet?

Open campus is the big event, we get hundreds of prospies and their families, so it can be kind of a zoo. But there are special panels with students and faculty, special tours, special luncheons, all kinds of special programming.

I think Open Campus takes place on April 16th and 17th, though there will be more info about that after admissions decisions are sent out most likely. Open Campus is followed by Discovery Weekend, which is kind of the same thing, but for admitted students of color.

Is open campus only for those accepted under regular decision and not early decision?

Yes, Open Campus is only for those accepted regular decision, as its intent is to help those still making a college decision do so.

If I recall correctly, there are a few exceptions, but I wouldn’t count on being invited if you weren’t accepted RD.

I think actually that any admitted student can come to Open Campus, but sometimes Smith pays for the travel expenses of students who have to travel from far away, but they will only do that for RD students. And the purpose of the weekend is really to convince RD students who have been offered admission to attend, but it can still be fun for ED students.

Heh. The 17th is my birthday. :</p>
