I was admitted to JHU but not to my first choice -BME. I have a few other options at highly selective schools to pursue BME. However, before passing on JHU wanted to know if there are other options within the college of engineering to pursue my undergraduate interest. I am interested in pursuing studies in Tissue Engineering and Bioengineering as it relates to bones, cartilage and heart valves. Can any JHU student in the Whitling College of Engg shed any light on how I could my interest without being admitted to BME ? Greatly appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

There is a Biomechanics concentration in Mechanical Engineering:
[Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering](http://www.me.jhu.edu/biomechanics.html)

Thanks. If I pursue this Biomechanics track do I have access to the courses taken under Cellular and Tissue Engineering track under BME especially under ‘Cell Engineering area specialization’ or do I have to approach it from Biomaterial concentration?

I am not sure. Maybe some other people on the board can chime in or you may contact the professors listed on the website.
